How to Get My Blog Appear on the Search Engines?

i just started blogging, so i’m pretty new at this. i’d like to know why my blog name doesnt appear when i search for it in the search engines?
how to make your blog popular?
i don’t really have any specific topic for the blog.. just jotting down my opinion, experience, traveling tips, eating out places, fashion and beauty.
