Using Twitter to Increase Website Traffic
Are you using Twitter yet? I have to admit that I wasn’t until just a few weeks ago. Somehow, I had the impression it was nothing but a gigantic IRC chat channel where everybody posts links and tries to sell stuff.
Actually, that’s true. BUT… some people are smart enough to actually post meaningful content (gasp!) on twitter, and sprinkle in a reasonable number of relevant outgoing links. That’s how I use it, too.
And to my amazement, even with only a handful of followers, one tweet about a product I liked brought me over 20 hits to my affiliate URL in a matter of seconds.

In the few weeks I’ve been watching Twitter, I’ve seen that it can be time-consuming and almost addicting, which is why I like the tools above so much. They allow me to automate the task of finding followers, and set up timed “tweets”, among other things. I’ll be adding the “Follow Me” badges on all my sites and blogs soon, too.
